The Dreaming #33

A haunting, self-contained story featuring art by John Totleben (THE SAGA OF THE SWAMP THING). The "Many Mansions" storyline creates a backdrop for this retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid." In the deep and always-black depths at the bottom of the sea, a colony of merfolk lives in a ruined city. Among them, a young merwoman stands trial for speaking forbidden truths culled from her dreams-dreams of a world where land and sun and sky exist above watery darkness. Branded a heretic, she has no idea the key to her salvation lies nearby on the ocean floor-in a chest of books lost when fire razed the House of Mystery. MATURE READERS
