John Byrne

Byrne is a British-born writer and artist, who grew up in Canada and has lived in the United States for most of his life. He has been most active in the superhero genre. Since the mid-1970s, Byrne has worked on many major features; with noted work on [gcd_link_publisher](78)'s [gcd_link_series](1576) and [gcd_link_series](1482). Byrne also facilitated the 1986 relaunch of [gcd_link_publisher](54)'s [gcd_link_feature](98) franchise with the limited series [gcd_link_series](3160), the first issue of which featured the comics' first variant cover. During the 1990s he produced a number of creator-owned works, including [gcd_link_feature](10789) and [gcd_link_feature](2137).
